Month-Long Event Features Six Themed Scary Mazes, Scare Zones and the Return of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure
Tickets are now on sale for one of the most popular Halloween activities in Los Angeles is the month-long Horror Nights” at Universal Studios, Hollywood. Most nights sell out in advance and it involves turning the studio lot, theme park and tourist attraction into a maze of haunted experiences, based on Universal films and characters.
This year’s event features a horrifying six themed mazes, each one designed to send chills up the spines of people: Rob Zombie’s 3D world of carnage and chaos with Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses; in 3D Zombievision, Alice Cooper and a new collection of disturbing imagery with Alice Cooper (wait what’s not disturbing imagery with Alice Cooper!?); Welcome To My Nightmare, the spine-chilling new maze Eli Roth’s Hostel; Hunting Season, the fearful legend of melancholy and murder come to life in La Llorona.
Plus Villa De Almas Perdidas, The Thing: Assimilation maze that will offer guests a virtual three-dimensional sneak peek of the film, as well as The Wolfman: The Curse of Talbot Hall inspired by the Universal pictures film.
Also in 2011 is a new backlot experience with Terror Tram: Scream 4 Your Life, which is based on the latest installment of Wes Craven’s Scream film series and will unleash the iconic “Ghostface Killer” on Universal’s famed backlot.
Terror- filled “Scare Zones” and the ever-popular Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure will add to the experience. The theme park’s favorite thrill-ride attractions will also remain open for Halloween Horror Nights including Jurassic Park In the Dark, The Simpsons Ride and Revenge of the Mummy– The Ride.
Halloween Horror Nights runs from Sept. 23-Oct.31. Times are 7 p.m.-2 a.m., except on Sundays and Thursdays and also Halloween Night (Oct. 31), with is from 7 p.m.-1 a.m.
Tickets are $37 in advance and $69 for a front-of-line pass (an option many choose, but these are limited).
