A White NYE Possible For The Strip And Fremont Street Experience Block Parties

Let it snow, let it snow.
In Las Vegas!?
Yes, it can and does (occasionally) snow in Las Vegas and it might happen on New Year’s Eve in Sin City.
There’s a 40% chance of precipitation and the temperature may drop to as low as 29 degrees. Las Vegas is in a valley so it’s not going to be a blizzard or anything, but there may be a few flurries floating in the air.
Las Vegas, of course, is one of the world’s top destinations for New Year’s Eve. There is the block party on The Strip with about 300,000 people. Downtown, there’s the Fremont Experience, a party with bands and a countdown on the canopy (you are covered here, but still exposed to the chilly temperatures).
The NYE forecast calls for cloudy skies during the day with a high of 38. There are off-and-on showers expected in the afternoon. At night, the temperature drops with possible rain or snow and winds at 5-10 mph.
It’s not a completely unusual for it to snow in Las Vegas on or around NYE; just a couple of years ago, PubClub.com was in Las Vegas when there were flurries on New Year’s Day.
