The 20th Annual Event is May 22-26 And Includes A Wine Tasting Stroll Down Royal Street

When one normally thinks of New Orleans – and the French Quarter in particular – they think of Bourbon Street, Mardi Gras and JazzFest.
And for good reason; those are all good reasons to go to and play in the Big Easy.
But the city also has other more refined places and events, and one of those is the annual Wine & Food Experience. Now in its 20th year, it features several days of events such as cooking demonstrations and “battles” of wines, plus what has to be a highlight: The Royal Street Stroll, a walk up and down this French Quarter street full of art shops with wine and food tastings and live jazz.
It’s all happening May 22-26. The Grand Tasting takes place on Friday, May 25 at the New Orleans Convention Center. On Saturday, there’s a Louisiana Seafood Cookoff, and in these parts, that has to be a delicious event.
One can run up quite a tab at such a thing, so it’s best to pick and choose two, three or perhaps four events to attend. And here there are several from which to choose; visit the event’s website (link below) for a list of all events and prices.
