Prohibition Theme Brings The Roaring 20s To L.A.
Or you can go to Union Station.
There, you will find a rockin’ and rolling celebration perfectly suited to the building’s Art Deco styling – a Roaring 20s theme party complete with girls in flapper dresses, guys in pinstriped suits and classic cars from the 1920s.
A couple of thousand people celebrate here in what is a unique – and classy – Los Angeles setting to celebrate the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.
People are encouraged to dress in 1920s attire – or otherwise it’s a black-tie optional or cocktail dress for its code – and bring a speakeasy attitude. Learning The Charleston probably won’t hurt, either.
There’s an open bar with premium alcohol, live music from saxaphonist Justin Ward, jazz from Dollhouse Entertainment, music from DJs, burlesque dancers who really put on a show, a ball drop and an oyster bar. And you know what they say about oysters!
Tickets are $165. There’s valet parking but, of course, don’t drive if you’ve been living it up at the party.
Doors open at 9 p.m., and the party goes until 2 a.m.
