Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Features Post Malone And Several Other Performers In Four Cities
It seems more like the latter as Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2020 show from New York City features some 20 artists from three cities, led by rapper Post Malone.
The show originates from Times Square in NYC, leading up the the famous ball drop to end 2019 and celebrate the beginning of 2020, and also features performances in Miami Los Angeles and New Orleans. The latter is PubClub.com’s #1 NYE destination.
The show starts at 8 p.m., EST, on ABC. New Year’s Eve 2019 is on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Performing in New York, in addition to Malone, is BTS, country singer Sam Hunt with Alanis Morissette – joined by the cast of Braodway’s “Jagged Littel Pill.”
From Miami will be performances from The Jonas Brothers. Los Angeles – Hollywood, to be specific – features a huge linup including Geen Da, Paula Abdul, Dan Shay, Dua Lipa, Megan Three Stallion, Sant-N-Pepper and the event’s host, Clara. “Pose” star Billy Porter will host the New Orleans element of the show, which will feature performances by Sheryl Crow and Usher.
Seacrest will lead the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City, with live onsite reporting from award-winning actress and co-host Lucy Hale. Multi-platinum artist Ciara will once again ring in the New Year from the West Coast as host of the Hollywood Party, while award-winning Broadway actor Billy Porter will host the 4th annual Central Time Zone celebration, live from New Orleans.
Additionally, country artist Jessie James Decker will reveal the first-ever First POWERBALL Millionaire of the YearSM during this year’s live broadcast of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020.” Decker will provide live updates from the First POWERBALL Millionaire of the Year party throughout ABC’s live telecast and the big reveal announcing the winner will air just after midnight on January 1, 2020.
