Indie Rock and Experimental Electronic Featured Along Lincoln Blvd.
It’s World Peace Day on Saturday, Sept. 21, but Venice, CA, will be rockin’ loud with the second installment of the Venice Music Crawl.
This event, which attracted more than 4,000 people to its inaugural event in June, features more than 70 artists on stages at nine venues. It occurs along Lincoln Blvd., between Rose and Washington streets, and goes from noon-10 p.m.
“The first VMC proved we had something special on our hands,” said Mark Rojas, VMC Co-founder. “We were very excited about it but we want to remain focused on our mission. That means working hard and being prepared for the long haul to keep delivering an exciting, community-driven music experience.”
Artists include:
SoFar Sounds, Das Tapes, Soft Shadows, Bixby Knolls, Crash Landon, The Strands, LA Font, Sea Lions, Valida, Julia Othmer, Keaton Simons, Midnight Therapy, Decorator, Josh Brooks, Strange Love, Steffi Graff, SoSuperSam, Whitney Fierce, Hobart W Fink, Human Life, Death House of Love, Planet Rock, Glow Marrow, Dead Times, Kid Cadaver, choBOT, Matthew Tembo and Afroroots and War Child.
Participating venues are Boys & Girls Club (two stages):
Wurstkuche, Witzend, Talking Stick, Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, Red Garter Club, Venice Love Shack, Young Artists United, and The Quest by Hayley Starr.
