More Than 30 Bars and Venues in Williamsport And Greenpoint Host 4th Annual Music Festival June 14-21
Summer music festivals take place throughout America and there’s a big one in Brooklyn happening June 9-12.
It’s called the Northside Festival and it features more than 350 bands playing at local music venues, bars and other locations throughout Williamsport and Greenpoint, making it this New York borough’s version of Austin’s wildly popular South by Southwest. More than 30 venues are involved.
The indie rock festival’s highlight for many in 2016 is a performance by Brian Wilson at Williamsburg Park. For more on the 2016 click here.
You can buy various badges ranging in price for $80-320, or individual tickets for $33.50. The badges include bar and food specials at several bars and restaurants in the area, which are all within walking distance of one another. For true music junkies, this is the way to go – just wander in and out of bars and venues and take in the music from an incredible number of bands.
Of course, if a venue is full, then it’s full, even if you have a badge. So if you really want to see a band, get there before everyone else.
