Jimmy Buffett Playing In A New Orleans Bar During Jazzfest 2017?

Fins Up For Parrotheads In The Big Easy A Possibility

PubClub.com is speculating that Jimmy Buffett will be playing at a music club in New Orleans during the second weekend of Jazzfest.

Why the speculation? He was on stage with Dave Matthews on Friday 2017 and he’s obviously in town.

Here are more three primary reasons:
• He’s played there before during Jazzfest (at Margaritaville, tho the one in New Orleans is currently closed while it relocates to another place on Decatur Street later this year).
• The last time PubClub.com predicted Buffett would play somewhere “secret”– the Shark Week Fin Fest in Hermosa Beach, CA – he did play. Along with the entire Coral Reefer Band, no less (and for free!).

If he does play, it could be under the “cover” name of Club Trini. Which bar? Well, Tipitinas is as good guess. Perhaps the Maple Leaf Bar.

And we’ll take the speculation one step further and predict it will be on Thursday, April 28.  That’s kind of a “transition” night with people just coming to town and before the wildness of Jazzfest sets in for the weekend.

The time would when it’s 5 O’clock Somewhere although in New Orleans you’ll be having something tall and strong all hours of the day and night. Such as, yes, a Hurricane.

Now if you think we’ve had too many Boat Drinks out of a Tin Cup Chalice on a fantasyland island called Margaritaville with a Son Of A Son Of A Sailor while a bunch of Gypsies In The Palace are raiding our place back home, don’t be Changing Channels.

Keep your fins up because this could be a Blue Heaven Rendezvous.

Others performing for the Toussaint tribute, by the way, are Aaron Neville, Cyril Neville, Bonnie Raitt, Jon Batiste, Davell Crawford and Dr. John. Maybe one or two of them will be on stage with Buffett elsewhere that weekend – somewhere in or around the French Quarter.
