Shows With The Eagles & In The South And Paris First To Be Announced

Jimmy Buffett may not be “Defying Gravity,” but he’s kind of defying age, as the nearly-ageless singer and songwriter is embarking on another full tour.
And in 2018, four of those involve shows with the legendary rock band The Eagles.
Here’s Buffett’s 2018 shows, cities and venues. More will be added PubClub.com will post here as they are announced. Buffett will be making an appearance on the Tonite Show on March 15. Hey Jimmy, while you’re in the area, how about a show again here on the sand in Hermosa Beach!?
• March 30 – Baltimore (Royal Farms Arena)
I thought Buffett didn’t play indoor venues! Rarely but this is one, in downtown Baltimore. Good luck tailgating at it.
• March 31 – Charlottesville, VA (John Paul Jones Arena)
Another basketball arena; tho this one is on a college campus, at the University of Virginia.
• April 6 – Charleston, S.C. (North Charleston Coliseum)
An indoor arena with five parking lots around it and the adjacent convention center (Lot A is the closes to the arena). There are also 10 hotels within Parrothead stumbling distance so this could be a pretty good tailgate scene for travelers.
• April 7 – Charlotte, N.C. (PNC Music Pavilion)
Ahh, the great outdoors! This is a big concert venue in the University City neighborhood. There are good parking areas for tailgating.
• April 14 – Orlando w/The Eagles (Camping World Stadium)
Home of the Citrus Bowl in the West Lakes area of downtown Orlando, this venue is in a residential neighborhood with has only a couple grass parking areas (including one at a baseball park).
• April 17 – Atlanta (Verizon Ampitheater. Yeah, not the Fox Theater!)
Located in Alpharetta’s Encore Park, this venue has a single parking area just to the northeast that’s blocked off in rows of asphalt separated by dirt. Parrotheads will figure out to use this for tailgating purposes.
• April 21 – Ft. Lauderdale w/The Eagles (Hard Rock Stadium)
This is the Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes stadium and site of the Orange Bowl. There is ample parking and tailgating space.
• April 29 – New Orleans Jazz Festival
Oh my! The tailgate party here is when you spread out in front of the stage and drink beer until you’re ready to pass out; but don’t because Buffett is playing and you’ve got Bourbon Street later! Important link: Jazzfest Party Survival Guide.
• May 19 – Sprint Center, Kansas City
Venue & tailgate info coming soon.
• May 22 – Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa
Another indoor arena; what’s happening Jimmy!? Tailgate info coming soon.
• May 24 – Ruoff Home Mortgage Center, Noblesville, Ind.
This is a suburb of Indianapolis right before the Indy 500. Can you say party weekend!?
Venue & tailgate Info Coming Soon tho with the name “Ruoff” better hope it doesn’t rain (get it, roof off???).
• May 27 – Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Venue & tailgate info coming soon.
• June 28 – Denver w/The Eagles (Coors Field)
The Colorado Rockies baseball stadium. Fun area adjacent to LoDo (lower downtown Denver) with lots of bars but unfortunately, tailgating will be a challenge due to lack of space for it.
• June 23 – Key Arena, Seattle
An inside arena, former home of the NBA’s Seattle Supersonics (now the Oklahoma City Thunder). It’s in an area by the Space Needle called Queen Anne so there may be some tailgating there if officials allow it.
• June 30 – Minneapolis w/The Eagles (Target Field)
This is the Minnesota Twins baseball stadium. Good parking so a potentially good sport for tailgating.
• July 5 – B B & T Pavilion, Camden, N.J.
Venue & tailgate info coming soon.
• July 7 – Keybank Pavilion, Burgettstown, PA
• July 10 – Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati
The birthplace of the term “parrotheads” so Fins Up for this show! This venue is on the banks of the Ohio River and there’s a big parking lot in front of it.
• July 13 – Wrigley Field
See Fenway Park, below.
• Aug. 4 – Jiffy Lube Live, Barstow, Va.
A big amphitheater venue seating 10,000 with an additional 15,000 on the lawn near Washington, D.C. There’s a parking lot adjacent to the amphitheater tho three sides of it are surrounded by thick trees.
• Aug. 9 – Fenway Park
Sounds great, but Boston Parrotheads don’t like it and for a good reason: the tailgate scene is way better in an open field. At Fenway, you have to squeeze into the crowded bars by the stadium. PubClub has been to Buffett in Fenway and officials didn’t allow any pre-game tailgating on the streets.
• Sept. 26 – Paris (La Cigale)
• Sept. 28– Paris (La Cigale)
• Sept. 29– Paris (La Cigale)
Now, all you Parrotheads know what to do at Buffett shows. But for all you newbies, you must dress in tropical attire (shirtless coconut bras ONLY on the ladies, please guys!), you must go early to the tailgate party and you must be on your best Buffett behavior.
That means you can be wild and crazy – in a beachy, tropical way – but don’t do anything stupid, like jump off of things trying to be cool (hey I remember my first beer) and pick fights.
Where will the pre show party be for Paris.
That’s a good question; offhand don’t know but will research. Fins Up!
Any info on tommorows show in KC preparty?
Any KC Parrotheads have any info!?
Any info on tailgating for 6/30 show in Minneapolis will be appreciated..We are veteran Buffett fans & tailgaters coming in from Chitown & we are meeting up with 4 virgin Buffett fans fon the MSP area—we want them to experience the day like we have in many locations. Fins Up
Oh Buffett virgins – we’ve had some of those on the PubClub party buses to Irvine. It doesn’t take them long to understand what Buffett shows are all about, right!? Fins Up!
Will there be a pre-party/tailgate for the Vegas concert. Oct 20,18?
There’s no tailgating in Vegas, tho sometimes there’s a preparty at the Hilton pool which is pretty good.
