The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas are having a “Winter in Venice” event at their Las Vegas hotel and casino, but they used Los Angeles as the location to host a fantastic premier party.
Knowing that tons of people in LA love to “do Vegas,” the Venetian and Palazzo held a VIP event at The Grove, which included a performance by the crooning quartet of Human Nature playing live on a stage by the fountain, followed by an exclusive party at Morel’s French Steakhouse where guests – including myself and PubClub photographer Terika Kons – were literally wined and dined.
The entire second floor was our domain and we were handed glasses of red and white wine from Napa and served samples from the restaurant’s menu. This included shrimp, tuna tar-tar and mini lamb shanks. The gilled chicken kabobs were our favorites; they were juicy and seasoned with very tasty spices. In short, they were outstanding.
More than 100 people were in attendance, including members of Human Nature. It’s a bit ironic – or perhaps just appropriate – in that they are from Australia and just a week earlier, I returned from a month in Australia.
Human Nature are the Venetian’s headline performers. And from the half hour performance we heard, they are well worth seeing the entire show. You listen to 30 minutes and you want more, more, more!
This was all to celebrate Winter in Venice, s celebration of the winter holiday season on the Las Vegas Strip called “A Gift of The Venetian.” It’s an Italian-inspired experience that runs Nov. 18-Jan. 5 and includes nightly entertainment, character performances, a 3D light projection show, ice skating rink and an elaborate Winter in Venice fantasy scene in The Palazzo Waterfall Gardens.
There are also be several weekend events including the La Cucina Italiana Food & Wine Festival (Dec. 5-8) and the Culinary Clash Weekend (Dec. 13-14).
You can stay at the Venetian or simply go by and enjoy the festivities.
Cheers!
