On Independence Day

While it may not rain on the parades, it will rain in many parts of the USA as America celebrates the 4th of July 2019.
Evening thunderstorms are forecast to roll up the eastern seaboard starting Wednesday and lasting throughout the weekend.
Here is the weather forecast for the USA’s top Fourth of July destinations, from the cities to the beaches. The 4th of July 2019 is on a Thursday.
Baltimore
Hot and humid weather is combined with thunderstorms arriving Wednesday and lasting through the weekend. Steamy temperatures are in the mid-90s, with the lows not too bad in the upper 70s.
Boston
The 4th of July here is bracketed by weekend showers, but the week of the 4th is mostly sunny. Pleasant temperatures all week are in. the low 80s and low 70s, with Independence Day being 82 and 71.
Chicago
The Windy City becomes the rainy city as evening showers arrive on Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms will linger through the weekend and into the next week. Highs range from the mid-80s to the upper 70s, with lows in the upper 60s.
Denver
The Mile High City is hot with temperatures in the low 90s, but have a jacket at night, for it’s dropping into the low 60s. Saturday is a fully sunny day with some clouds moving in Sunday and Monday.
Los Angeles
The weather in Los Angeles varies by location. Over “the hill” the valleys and deserts are hot, exceeding 100 degrees. The coast is where the partying is anyway and morning “June gloom” clouds will give way on the weekend to fully sunny skies up and down the coast; the hot party spots are Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach – where there is a giant parade in the morning – and Newport Beach. Coastal temperatures are mild, with highs in the low 70s. Have a light jacket with you; it will be a cool 63 at night.
New York City
Thundershowers are expected to arrive in Big Apple on Thursday evening and lasting into the weekend with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.
Philadelphia
Evening thunderstorms will take place starting Wednesday and into the weekend. Highs are hot – in the mid-90s – with lows in the upper 70s.
Seattle
One of the most spectacular fireworks shows in the country takes place in Seattle. It won’t be fully clear skies, but with mostly sunny conditions it will be close enough. Seattle is a cool place to be for the 4th in more ways than one – the daytime temperatures are a mild 72 with lows a potentially chilly mid-50s.
Washington, D.C.
The nation’s capitol will have evening thunderstorms Wednesday through the weekend with hot highs in the mid-90s and lows in the upper 70s.
USA’s Beaches
Hopefully you’re not on the west coast of Florida, where rain is to pelt the entire coast from Fort Myers thru Clearwater Beach. The only bright spot – literally – is on the 4th, Clearwater and the Tampa Bay are expected to be mostly sunny before returning to rain thru thru the weekend. The Florida Panhandle has sunshine the day before and after Independence Day but rain on the 4th. Ocean Beach along Alabama’s Gulf Coast is soaked starting Wednesday. Over in Biloxi, Friday is the only sunny day. Daytime temperatures are to be in the mid-90s.
Key West is facing rain on Wednesday and Thursday with sunshine Friday thru the weekend. Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Daytona Beach look good with rain giving way to sunshine starting on Wednesday the 3rd..
The weather is sunny on the Southern eastern coastal areas, including Savannah, Ga; Charleston and Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and Wilmington, N.C. Ocean Beach, Maryland will receive weekend rain starting on Friday.
On Coney Island, will be okay for the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest, but have a roof over your head by the evening, for that’s when the rain arrives, with scattered thunderstorms lasting into the weekend.
In Texas, San Padre Island is mostly cloudy starting Thursday and is not fully sunny until Sunday with temperatures in the upper 80s and low 80s at night.
In Hawaii, Honolulu and Waikiki Beach might have a few clouds but mostly its sunny with temperatures in the mid-80s. Maui, tho, has rain Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with Saturday being mostly sunny. Temperatures range from the mid-80s to the upper 60s.
