Golfers To Enjoy Sunshine & 70-Degree Temperatures

Published Nov. 12, 2020
With no crowds cheering them on, the typical hazards at Augusta National Golf Club, here is one thing the golfers won’t have to worry about this weekend at The Masters: the weather.
That is absolutely perfect all weekend in Augusta, GA .
The world’s best golfers are able to enjoy sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s for all four rounds. The sunshine is very important not just from an aesthetically pleasing standpoint for the TV viewers, but also because with the tournament taking place in November with no Daylight Savings Time, light is a critical factor in finishing the event on time.
Wind should also not be a factor, with it between 5-10 mph each of the days.
Here is the weather report for all four days:
• Thursday: Mostly sunny with some clouds. High of 80, low of 65.
• Friday: Mostly sunny with a few clouds. High of 78, low 54
• Saturday: The best day, fully sunny. High 71, low 54
• Sunday: A few clouds return but mostly sunny. High 79, low 50.
The tournament is televised on ESPN for the first two rounds and CBS on Saturday and Sunday. ESPN’s coverage is from 1-5:30 p.m., (ET). CBS starts its Saturday coverage at 10 a.m., with coverage continuing until the completion of play. Sunday coverage starts at 8 a.m.
For you mobile device people, the tournament is also streaming on CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App and Masters.com
CBS was able to extends its Saturday coverage because the scheduled college football game between Alabama and LSU was canceled due to COVID-19 issues at LSU.
