Winter Chill To Affect Atlanta at Philadelphia, Tennessee at New England, Jacksonville at Pittsburgh & New Orleans at Minnesota
And if you’re in Minnesota, be glad – very glad – the game is played indoor. Here’s the weather forecasts and game conditions for Atlanta at Philadelphia, Tennessee at New England, Jacksonville at Pittsburgh and New Orleans at Minnesota.
Weather For Saturday, Jan. 13 NFL Games (All Times ET)
• Atlanta at Philadelphia (4:30 p.m., NBC)
Heavy rain pelted Phily on Friday but the worst weather is coming for the game as the temperature plummets from the mid-60s to the 40s for the game. The low on Saturday is 15 degrees.
• Tennessee at New England (8:15 p.m., CBS)
Water from flash floods earlier in the day will turn to ice. The temperature during the tailgate party will be in the upper 20s dropping to the low 20s by game time and even into the teens during the game. Winds of 10-15 mph will make for a wind chill of around 10-15 degrees. There is unlikely to be any precipitation during the game.
Weather For Sunday, Jan. 14 NFL Games
• Jacksonville at Pittsburgh (1 p.m., CBS)
Cloudy and cold. Very cold. The high for Sunday is 17 degrees. The low is 2 degrees, in case you are wondering, but don’t think the afternoon game time will be balmy by comparison; the windchill factor is to be 4 degrees.
• New Orleans at Minnesota (4:30 p.m., FOX)
If you’re a nostalgic NFL fan, you would want this game to be taking place in old Metropolitan Stadium, with the frost coming out from behind the facemasks of the Purple People Eaters. That’s because it’s going to 14 degrees and snowing. Alas, the game in under the climate-controlled roof of U.S. Bank Stadium. So the weather won’t be a factor at the game, tho it will be getting to the game.
