310YP Monthly Social Mixer Events Schedule & Location In The L.A. South Bay

Hermosa, Manhattan And Redondo Beach Professionals Meet & Mingle At Local Restaurants & Bars

The scene is one of continual chatter and people reaching in their wallets or purses to pull out business cards.

The women are wearing nice dresses, the men anywhere from suit jackets to casual jeans with a crisp shirt.

It’s the 310YP meeting, a monthly mixer of people primarily living in the 310 area code of Los Angeles, which is to say the South Bay Beach Cities of Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo. But it’s open to anyone and if you want to mix and mingle in a lively environment full of people looking to network for business – and, let’s face it, this is the South Bay, so there’s social mixing going on, as well – so go check out one of its events.

The May Meeting is Thursday, April 4, at Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach. That’ s one day before Cinco de Mayo, by the way.

They are the first Thursday of each month, from 6-9 p.m., and are held at various restaurant/bars throughout the South Bay. Many are hosted by Shade Hotel in Manhattan & Redondo Beach. Certainly, overlooking the boats in King Harbor and sitting by a fire pit at the Shade location in Redondo makes for an inviting socializing setting.

Events are free to attend tho organizers do prefer it if you sign up in advance on its website, 310yp.org.

You can expect anywhere between 50-150 people at the events. Many of them are in real estate (there are no shortage of real estate agents in the South Bay) but there’s also a wide variety of people: local skin care and spa business owners, people in finance, entrepreneurs, even a “social media guru.”

Many are there to talk business, but after the initial introductions and professional rundowns, people give into the environment and turn it into a casual cocktail mixer. And while the YP stands for “young professionals” don’t let that scare you away even if you may not necessarily consider yourself in that age group. As long as you’re young at heart, you will fit in with this crowd.

As previously mentioned, the events are free to attend and the host bar either has an extended Happy Hour or specific drink and/or food specials for those there with 310YP.
