Rooftop Happy Hour, Meatball Mondays And A Food & Spirits Pairing
There’s more on the menu than great food at Michael’s On Naples in Long Beach.
It has a full menu of events for June, including a rooftop Happy Hour with live music.
Every Thursday and Friday Michael’s welcomes local musicians to its rooftop from 5-10 p.m.Happy Hour is everyday of the week from 5-7 p.m. (There is also Happy Hour in the main bar on the first level.)
Thru June 11, Michael’s celebrates Negroni Week with 10 Negroni-based cocktails with $1 from every Negroni purchase benefitting the Paws Foundation, a non-profit animal rescue organization.
On June 13, Chef Eric Samaniego is preparing a four-course, prix-fixe dinner paired with St. George Spirits, an independent California-based distillery specializing in artisanal spirits, including single malt whiskey, agricole rum, absinthe and a plethora of gins, vodkas, brandies and liqueurs. Seating is limited, and the cost is $75 per person excluding tax and gratuity.
“What we try to offer at Michael’s On Naples is a faceted culinary experience,” said Chef Samaniego. “Every month we’re inviting guest chefs, winemakers and distillers into the kitchen and behind the bar to enhance the guests’ experience. They’re extremely popular because the guests get a chance to interact with the chefs and winemakers, which can be fun and educational.”
On Monday, June 19 the poplar Meatball Monday, a monthly event held the third Monday of every month, returns with the favorite Italian dish prepared two ways: topped with San Marzano tomato sauce or made from chicken and featuring Romesco sauce. Both options are $12 each and can include pasta for an additional $8 and/or a fried egg for $3. Side dishes include Arancini with forest mushroom risotto and mozzarella and Insalate di Arugula featuring wild arugula and tossed with olive oil and lemon; both are $8 each.
Michael’s On Naples is open daily at 5pm and features Happy Hour seven days and for Sunday Brunch from 10:30am-2:30pm.
