Brews, Chili & A Rooftop Nightclub A Great Los Angeles Getaway In Temecula
Bring on the beer!
Of all the things going on this June 9-11 weekend in Los Angeles – pool parties, live music, a beach party with a beer garden – PubClub will be at the Pechanga Resort Microbrew Beer Festival & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday June 10 at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula.
The craft beer festival features dozens of breweries from Southern California and beyond, as well as chili, led by Pechanga’s own chef. I had some of his cooking already, last weekend at a beer and food pairing as part of the Temecula Balloon & Wine Festival and I’m still tasting that great grilled shrimp and BBQ roast. Ymmm!
I’m also excited to spend some time at Pechanga. It’s one of the many gaming casinos in Southern California and while that alone is not enough to pry me off the beach here in Hermosa, I popped in there for a late lunch last week and was blown away by the place.
It’s nice!
In fact, it reminded me of Planet Hollywood in Vegas. I had previously been to only one of these SoCal casinos and turned around almost as quickly as I had entered, but that’s certainly not the case at Pechanga.
PubClub had a delicious and super-filling meal at Kelsey’s, a place so comfortable I could have stayed for hours. In addition to its BBQ smoker and wood-fired pizzas, the place has a couple dozen craft beers on tap and huge TVs ideal for kicking back and watching sports. (Oh, and if you’re there during the week, it has $4 beers until 6 for Happy Hour.)
Kelsey’s is just one of 11 on-site restaurants.
And there are bars, too! Plus a comedy club with shows on Friday and Saturday nights plus concerts in an auditorium (dang, we’re a week early for Alice Cooper!). Click here for the lineup, dates and tickets for the concerts.
Look for PubClub at the rooftop Eagle’s Nest nightclub on Saturday night after the beer festival.
We’ll be spending a very pleasant all day and night at Pechanga without leaving the property. We’re looking forward to it and come join us, too!
