Disneyland Is Not Just The Happiest Place On Earth It’s The Most Hashtagged Place In America, Says Playpicks
There is little question that California is one of the most scenic places on earth – the dramatic coastline of Big Sur, the wide beaches of Southern California, the deserts and even mountains – make it a place that can fill up your smartphone’s camera.
It also has events going on constantly, making it state full of Instagrammable moments.
But it is the most Instagram worthy location in America?
One study says so and even has the stats to back up its claim. According to Playpicks, a tool that tracks the most Instagrammable locations, California has these bragging rights:

Disneyland – The happiest place on earth is also the most hashtagged location in America. In 2017, it had an estimated attendance of 18.3 million visitors and 19,783,733 Instagram shares.

Long Beach, California – It has attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary and a ton of springtime and summertime events and more than four million posts shared on Instagram.

Coachella, California – This is largely due to the huge music festival, Coachella, which is is ranked as the USA’s most hashtagged festival with 4,061,540 Instagram shares
Okay, I get Disneyland and Coachella, but Long Beach? That’s hard to believe because it’s not exactly a prime tourist attraction over all in L.A. Certainly not when compared to Hollywood and Santa Monica. Overall, California has nine of Playpick’s Top 20 locations. That’s not just impressive but it support this post’s headline: yes, California IS America’s Most Most Instagram Worthy Location.
There are other interesting finds uncovered by Playpick outside of California. Miami Beach, for example, has been shared 8,673,724 times on Instagram, making it the most hashtagged beach and second most hashtagged place in America.
Central Park, with i40 million visitors a year, has 6,104,544 shares on Instagram.
