Finding The Top NYE Celebrations Around The Globe
There are big bashes, high-dollar DJs at hot nightclubs, promoter events with a thousand-plus people and events at bars big and small all across the globe.
But the world’s best New Year’s Eve party places are those that are the huge public celebrations in city streets or parks, punctuated by a ball drop and/or spectacular fireworks show.
Like the ones in Sydney over the Harbor Bridge, in Berlin over the Brandenburg Gate, over the casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and the most famous of them all, the ball drop in New York City.
There is also the funky, a wench drop in Key West, and the wild, fireworks over the mighty Mississippi followed by the all-out fun on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.New Orleans New Year’s Eve Top Party Tips
These are the best places for several reasons among them:
1.) You Can Move Around. At big outdoor parties, you can go various places within the area. At a bar or nightclub you’re pretty much stuck there and really can’t go anywhere else. Now in a crowded spot like Times Square, you had better pick a place and stick with it (and think ahead about going to the bathroom), but when the ball drop or fireworks are over you can move around to different spots.
2.) You Can Have Your Own Drinks. This is standard outside of the USA but in America it’s technically not legal to have alcoholic drinks in public. Except, of course, in New Orleans! Still, who’s going to stop you if you have a container filled with your favorite drink. Just don’t be a fool about it.
3.) You Don’t Have To Wait To Get A Drink. One of the biggest complaints people have about bars, clubs and promoter parties is about getting drinks. Not only are they crazy expensive, you have to wait forever in a long line just to get one. Not so at a public party because, as pointed out above, you have your own.
4.) Mingling. It’s way easier to meet other NYE’ers at a public party than at a bar. This is an especially important factor for single people.
5.) Public Celebrations Are Free! New Year’s Eve is notorious for bars and clubs charging outrageous fees from just entering the place to sky-high prices for dinners and drinks. Going to a public celebration, tho, is free.
The only bar I recommend to go to for a memorable New Year’s Eve party is Foxy’s in the British Virgin Islands. First of all, it’s on a Caribbean beach. Secondly, it’s warm; you go there in flip-flops. Thirdly there’s no cover charge and it’s a fun, carefree great time with people from all kinds of different places who know Foxy’s is an awesome place to be for NYE.
