How Much Does a Corporate Entertainment Party Cost?

January 2, 2020 by kevinwilkerson Leave a Comment

Whether you like it or not, your time will come to hold an office party and be responsible for the corporate entertainment.

The challenge with the office party is to determine how much you are going to spend. If you are holding a casual party with less than 50 people, then a budget of 1000 GBP would be enough (it would be minimum, mind you). The entertainment is generally provided by the employees themselves where they may play music or sing. A casual party for people between 50 and 100 people may cost between 1000 GBP and 2000 GBP.

If you want a more formal party with complete entertainment, food, decorations, and others, you may have to spend at least thousands.

Before you are throwing an office party, be honest about the finance. Creating a grandeur and exclusive party may seem intriguing, but it is costly. It also takes extra efforts and planning. If you don’t have the budgets, the energy, and the times, be logical. Use your head and be wise. After all, there are several considerations that you can make when holding a party.

Location

Where you are going to hold the party will determine the overall expenses–but each decision comes with its own perks and flaws. If you choose an on-site location (meaning that you will hold the party at the office), you can save up a lot of money. It also eliminates the hassle of finding an off-site spot and reserving the place. However, holding a party at the office will somehow affect the mood and atmosphere. After all, you have spent a great deal of time at that spot. You can’t help the familiar ‘this-is-my-work-place’ vibe.

When you hold the party at an off-site spot, there is a clear differentiation between party and work, affecting the employees’ mental changes from their regular task and holiday celebration. In general, you won’t have to deal with any clean-up after the party. But then, every decision has its own perks and downsides. You have to figure it out which one would be the perfect option for you.

Time

You may not know this, but the time where you hold the party will affect your expenses.Luncheons may be cheaper than dinners, but it lacks the sense of intimacy and gratitude.Lunches are also great when you want to have the event short and limited to only employees. But then again, it lacks the feel of being personal. It doesn’t have any party vibe, either.

The best time to hold the party is definitely after hour. If you can’t afford real party, then happy hours or casual gourmets would be more ideal. It is economical and it has the celebration atmosphere. You will only spend hundreds instead of thousands (of dollars). But if you want to have a more party vibe, then you should be ready to spend even more.

You can also manage whether you want to have the party during the holiday season or during the off-peak season. During the holiday season may give you the holiday atmosphere but let’s not to forget that most people like to spend their holiday with their family and loved ones. Are you willing to give up your time with the loved ones too?
