Zip Zoom Ziplines, a racing-style zipline in which “racers” go side by side, is back in San Diego.
It is having an opening event July 19-21 at La Jolla Indian Adventure Park in the Palomar Mountain range. The first 100 guests to book tours for the weekend will receive Zip Zoom Ziplines swag bags and discounts for a return visit.
“We are thrilled to reopen this extraordinary adventure and give visitors the thrill of a lifetime, all with the absolutely highest safety standards,” notes Abby Burt, Owner & CMO of Applied Adventure Consulting, which now manages the park. “From the ziplines to the history of the Luiseño Indians to exemplary guest safety, this is a trip that exhilarates the senses and fills the soul.”
The course consists of three zipline crossing in a side-by-side design. The first zipline is 2,700 feet long, ranking among some of the longest in the country. The other ziplines are also extreme, at 2,100 feet and 1,500 feet long, respectively. Most ziplines are single-person ones but Zip Zoom Ziplines features duel lines.

The price is $115 per person, and weight restrictions apply. Each tour time can accommodate up to 10 guests. Larger groups can plan to book back-to-back tour times. Individuals, couples, and smaller groups may be grouped with other adventurers
In addition to the ziplines, La Jolla Indian Adventure Park also features the La Jolla Indian Campground with riverside RV and tent-camping facilities, newly-renovated Sengme Oaks Water Park, the Luiseño Bike Park with an expansive network of trails for riders of all levels, the 76 Grill restaurant and Trading Post convenience store.
“This portion of land zoned for recreation and its long history of family outdoor activities has called back generations of people and their families to return to enjoy the fun, peaceful beauty the Campground and its amenities have to offer,” says Wendy Schlater, Chairwoman of the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians. “Southern California residents and visitors have enjoyed recreational activities on our reservation since the 1930s, and it is our pleasure to now reopen and offer the zipline tour with the Applied Adventure team, to continue to deliver a wide variety of adventures and fun activities for the whole family.”
Zip Zoom Ziplines tours run Thursday to Monday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Reservations are required. You can book on its website at www.LaJollaZipline.com
