Oregon Brews and Sizzle Pie In The City Of the Microbrew
This is a great idea, the perfect promotion, right up there with complimentary Internet, and far better than bagels in the morning.
The Jupiter Hotel in Portland, Oregon, has launched a hotel promotion that features free beer. And late-night pizza!
In Portland, no less, home of the craft brews.
It’s called the Sizzle Pie and Beer Package, and it comes with a bucket of four beers and a $25 certificate to Sizzle Pie, a pizza place half a block from the hotel.
The beers are the German-style Dead Guy Ale from Oregon’s Rogue brewery– http://rogue.com – or Miller High Life. I don’t know about you, but given a choice of the two, this is the no-brainer of all time. Go with the Oregon brew, I say.
The beer is on ice, by the way, so you can drink it immediately upon arrival.
Sizzle Pie, with a slogan of “Death to False Pizza” is one of Portland’s favorite late-night pizza places.
Yet this may be the best part: The rooms at the Jupiter start at just $120 and the package is good for the entire year. Yes, all of 2013.
This isn’t the the first time the Jupiter has included beer in a package. In fact, it also gives out four Dead Guy Ales as part of a “Booze and Brews” package that includes two passports to Distillery Row ($4o value, and that includes tastings).
Distillery Row produces locally distilled spirits in Southeast Portland, which happens to be where the Jupiter is located. How’s that for convenience!?
The Jupiter Hotel is at 800 E. Burnside Street. Burnside is the main road through downtown that separates east from west Portland. It’s easy to walk everywhere in 10-20 minutes and Portland also has a good Metro train, so access to anywhere is easy.
The Jupiter also has a pretty cool bar, so you’re not likely to be straying too far from the property.
There’s also free WiFi and they give you coffee in the morning.
Here’s a link to all the promotions at the Jupiter: See ya there!?
