Outdoor Restaurant/Bar in Hawaiian Marketplace Packs A Breakfast Punch

I have found what may not necessarily be the best Bloody Mary in Las Vegas, but certainly the strongest.
It’s at a rather obscure little restaurant/bar in the Hawaiian Marketplace, that courtyard on the Strip that you probably never stop at between the MGM and Planet Hollywood. The place is called Zingers and it must be named after those Bloody Marys because a couple of them will really zing you!
The Bloody Marys are a full 16 ounces, served in a to-go plastic cup. At $9 they are not cheap, but considering the size and potency of the drink, it’s not a bad price, either.
And it only takes one sip to realize how strong it is, one moment to get out a “whoa” and lean back in your chair with raised eyebrows. The Bloodys are dark red, tasty though not particular spicy. They also pack a punch like a UFC fighter.

Like all drinks in Vegas, you can get it to go and walk the Strip – this is one of the great pleasures of being in Sin City – but it’s also quite pleasant just to kick back at Zingers. It has a decent-sized patio, mostly in the shade, and often there is a band playing in the marketplace. The band is at the back of the courtyard and since Zingers is on the side, the music is subtle and doesn’t overwhelm conversations. It’s pleasant, not ear-pounding loud.
I paired my pair of Bloody Marys with breakfast. I had a ham and cheese omelette ($8.95) which came with toast, a couple slices of bacon an hash brows. It was decent enough; certainly nothing like the massive breakfasts at the Peppermill but certainly adequate.
Zingers also has a couple of dozen beers in bottles and sells drinks in those huge plastic guitars. The place itself is far from fancy and it’s never going to be your prime party hangout, but if you want a to get zinged by a strong Bloody Mary, then Zingers is the place.
