You think you had a great Labor Day Weekend? You guys should have been at the Flora-Bama, a bar on the Flordia-Alabama Gulf Coast state line.
It’s a famous bar among people in the area and was the inspiration of the Jimmy Buffett song “Bama Breeze.”
And on Labor Day Weekend, it hosts a bikini contest! And, judging by photos of the finalists, it’s one fantastic bikini contest. The bar has preliminary rounds leading up to this one and if you want to see Bama bells and Florida foxes, this was the place.
“This was by far best crop we’ve ever had,” event emcee Jack Robertson, who most people just call Big Earl, said after one contest. Of course, he probably says that every year, haha.
Now it’s important to know that the Flora-Bama Labor Day bikini contest is not to be confused with the Flora-Bama Mullet Toss, which is each April.
