The Best College Partying Schools Criteria

You can read the lists – like this one on PubClub.com – but how know you have arrived at a Top Party School? Here’s 10 ways to tell:
.) There are as many bars and liquor stores near campus as there are classroom buildings.
.) There’s a lively tailgate scene even if the team hasn’t won a championship since the Kennedy adminstration.
.) You see students filling up the bars even on weeknights. Every night, in fact.
.) The parents and alumni are drinking as much as the students.
.) You have no problem finding the fraternity parties.
.) The sororities have parties that are as wild as the ones at the fraternities.
.) The college bars have drink specials with beers as low as $1-2.
.) The town where the college is located is known for its partying beyond the university (Austin, Texas is a prime example).
.) The students party at all times of the year. In all kinds of weather.
.) There’s little other diversions in the college town. So they might as well drink! That’s why small towns often have the biggest party schools. Lke Chico State in northern California.
