Winner To Be Chosen At Beach Party With Concert
There’s beauty to go with the brawn and in Surfer’s Paradise Australia, that means the gorgeous girls of the Gold Coast 600 auto race.
And the Miss V8 Supercars finalists are as busy as the drivers preparing for the race weekend of Oct. 25-27 along Queensland’s Gold Coast.
The 24 finalists have arrived in town and have done a poolside photo shoot for the media and have been rehearsing for three big events: The sports judging at Cavill Mall Stage on Thursday, Oct. 24, ( 7 p.m.); the swimwear judging at Waves Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel on Friday (8-9 p.m.) and the Grand Finals taking place on a stage on the beach that also includes a concert, on Saturday (6-6:30 followed by the concerts).
This is a huge deal in Australia. For years, worldwide promotions company Procon Leisure, based just a block from the beach in Surfer’s Paradise, has put on pageants with races in the area, most notably the Miss Indy. Now it’s Miss V8 Supercars and girls from throughout Australia and even New Zealand have gone through local competitions to make it here to the finals.
The girls made their first appearance at the official V8 Supercars welcome VIP party on Tuesday night. They arrived in a Hummer limo provided by Key To The Coast, which does Vegas-style lifestyle tours of Gold Coast nightclubs.
On Wednesday night, they surprised quite a few patrons at the Hog’s Breath Cafe in Surfer’s Paradise by stopping in there to have dinner.
PubClub.com’s blogger is with the girls and is blogging and sharing these behind-the-scenes – and behind the stage – stories and photos.
Cheers!
