BVIs Residents & Businesses Seeing Donations To Rebuild After Massive Storm Damage

The Virgin Islands – and the British Virgin Islands in particular – suffered significant damage due to Hurricane Irma.
In the aftermath, several relief funds have been set up to aid and help people rebuild their lives and businesses. Some are legitimate and some are not. PubClub.com is compiling a list of legitimate relief funds and are publishing them here.
These are the ones we have at this time:
• Myett’s Bar, Cane Garden Bay

PubClub has received reports from the islands that several fake relief funds have been set up – people just will pocket the money. That is why we have set up this page for ones we can verify to be real and legitimate.
We will be happy to post any more legitimate relief fund information and the links to them here. But we must verify them before publishing any information or links.
Also, feel free to add any information and updates in the comments section at the bottom of this post.
The Virgin Islands are in need of help for recovery. Several famous landmarks, familiar watering holes and stops for regular tourists to the BVIs such as Myett’s are completely destroyed.
In some cases, there’s only piles of wood where these businesses once stood; however, all who have been affected vow to rebuild and again make the Virgin Islands a top Caribbean travel destination.
PubClub will be updating this page on a regular basis as it becomes available.

I gave to Tim Duncan’s fund. Hope it’s legitimate.
Of course. We did not put that one in there (initially) because we were focused on the smaller ones for the individual bars and such. Good point so we’ve added it to the post.
Hi feel free to add/vet us.. http://www.YachtAidGlobal.org
You may review the life ssbing efforts by dolphin water taxi by visiting our Facebook page. Assisting with food and supplies coming every other day from St croix. Please post the link to our page http://www.dolphinshuttle.com for donations
Understand VISAR is raising funds. My niece sent a great t-shirt “BVI STRONG” she got by making a donation. My home is on Brewers Bay West (Soldiers Hill) and suffered considerable damage (roof gone; 40 year old grafted mango gone, .., car intact). I will do what I can to help all those wonderful friends much less fortunate than myself. We are strong and will be back on our feet stronger than ever. Mary
.
Hi Mary, We were trying to call you but the number did not go through. We will be in Tortola in March and would LOVE to see you. Please leave us an email at Gloria’s email. All of our best, Paul and Gloria
Another great way to support the BVI is the “Cane Garden Bay Power-Rebuild” fund on youcaring.com. It’s a great CGB community effort with a well-defined plan to support rebuilding. The plan described on the webpage gave me great confidence that funds would be used well.
Also google “BVI Strong” t-shirts to support the rebuilding through VISAR and a couple other fund raising efforts.
