Home Of The Pain Killer Seeks To Ease Pain From Hurricane Irma

It is allowing you to adopt a palm tree.
Along with a lot of other things, vegetation was nearly all wiped out by the hurricane and the Soggy Dollar Bar in particular is known almost as much for its tall palm trees as it is for its famous Pain Killer drinks.
To help replant them and also to provide much-needed assistance to the island of Jost Van Dyke, the bar has set up a three-tiered adoption system.
“The search for the perfect palm trees for White Bay & Jost Van Dyke has started!,” the bar’s owners declared in a statement. “Help us restore the natural beauty of White Bay & Jost Van Dyke by Adopting a Palm Tree. Your name (and generosity) will forever live in White Bay.”
The three tires are as follows:
• Platinum: Personalized engraved plaque on your tree, land plot showing tree location, photo of your tree, frameable certificate, donor recognition display, Soggy Dollar swag & inclusion on the website donor page. Price: $2,500
• Gold: frameable certificate, donor recognition display, Soggy Dollar swag & inclusion on the website donor page. Price: $1,000-2,499
• Silver: donor recognition display, Soggy Dollar special gift & inclusion on the website donor page. Price: Up to $999.
Of course any donations are gladly accepted.

The fund is being held by The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All gifts to the fund are eligible for deduction from the donor’s taxes as a charitable gift.
