Ever wonder the exotic photo locations of the models in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue? Well this year, two locations in Switzerland were used and here they are revealed.
They are in the Swiss Alps village of Saas-Fee in the Valais Matterhorn region and the city streets of Zurich. PubClub.com has been ot both places. Saas-Fee has a very livey ski apres and nightlife scene while Zurich is a cosmopolitan city that has both a vibrant modern area and a popular Old Town.
“Shooting in Switzerland was an unforgettable experience—the breathtaking scenery and serene atmosphere created the perfect backdrop. It’s a place that inspires confidence, creativity, and a sense of peace all at once making it the perfect backdrop for the 2025 issue,” said MJ Day, editor-in-chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
Renowned fashion photographer Derek Kettela captured SI swimsuit models Hunter McGrady, Camille Kostek, and twins Elisha and Renee Herbert in Saas Fee while he photographed the twins, along with Jasmine Sanders and Penny Lane, were photographed in Zurich.

The shooting locations showcased Switzerland’s diverse appeal: from Saas-Fee’s majestic glaciers— Allalin Glacier and the Glacier World Längfluh—and its charming, car-free village of traditional wooden chalets, to the winding streets of Zurich’s Old Town, the scenic shores of the Limmat River and Lake Zurich, and the sweeping views from the city’s rooftops— blending Alpine grandeur with urban sophistication.
Kostek was so moved by the magic of Saas-Fee and the five-star Alpine lodge The Capra’s hospitality that she extended her stay beyond the shoot. “The beauty of these mountains truly took my breath away,” she said. “Each day I felt like I was waking up in a snow globe in a magical dream. I already can’t wait to go back.”
Sanders found Zurich equally enchanting. “[Shooting] Sports Illustrated Swimsuit [in Zurich] felt like a dream,” she said. “Between the cobblestone streets, historic monuments, chocolate breaks, and epic backdrops, I had to keep pinching myself – it was hard to believe this was work!”

Sports Illustrated liked Zurich, too. It’s SI Swimsuit website stated, “dating back to Roman times, this thriving city is one of the oldest in the country. Charming in its picturesque location and thrilling in its many exciting offerings, there’s no shortage of adventures to be had on these cobblestone streets.”
Claudio Zemp, Director Americas for Switzerland Tourism, said, “we are honored to be featured in such an iconic publication. This is a fantastic opportunity to present the beauty of Saas-Fee and Zurich in a fresh and inspiring way to a lifestyle-focused audience.”
