With Wild Paradise Beach and the Skandianavian Bar, The #1 Party Place in the World is Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos is the #1 party place on the planet, a mix of the beach, nightclubs and hip and casual bars. It is uninhibited wildness at its adult best, yet at the same time it manages to show the sophistication of its patrons.
It is where PubClub.com got its tagline, “Where The World Goes to Party.” This applies to Mykonos, because for two months it IS where the world is partying. Mykonos should be on the bucket list of places to party for anyone who enjoys having a good time.
Scratch that; make it a great time.
The key to the controlled insanity that is Mykonos is a patch of hard-grained sand known as Paradise Beach.
No place on the planet is more appropriately named, for it is utopia for the single and thirsty traveler, a basic beach no wider than a couple of city blocks but with three bars lined up next to each other like pieces of forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
Except here, the fruits are not forbidden. In fact, they flow in the form of beer, mixed drinks and especially shots. Ohhh, the shots. One can not be in any bar setting in Greece for any amount of time and not have them start flying your way.
The party starts in the late afternoon, taking what was a quiet, mellow beach at the start of the day to a pumping, dance-on-the-bar, nightclub-on-the-sand all-out CRAZY scene. It’s also very casual – everyone is in beach attire – nobody is acting like they are better than anyone else, there are no private cabanas for and it’s also remarkably cheap (beers are only about 5 Euros).
In other words, it’s not a Vegas pool party. It’s Mykonos!
And this only sets the stage for the evening yet to come. The prime gathering time and place is midnight at the Skandianavian Bar, a pair of small bars and a bigger “disco” upstairs. It commands and a block off a side street and this is where the “meet by day, meet up by night” sexual encounters begin to develop.
But Mykonos is not all about the sex (though its potential is sky high, that’s for sure). It’s about having fun and meeting people from different parts of the world, and partying with them in a casual, happening location.
And that, folks, is why Mykonos is the #1 party place on the planet.

Totally agree. The bus system is great – and cheap! Plus, stay in Mykonos Town so you can party there at night and not have to worry about it.
The fun in Mykonos is top and everybody knows it, most come only for it on our island !! But anyone who rents a car in Mykonos or a car should not drink when driving, better to get a taxi or by bus!
