It’s Rocktober in San Diego and Halloween is a fun time for adults to dress up and act out the “person” in their costumes.
There is a lot happening here, tho the Gaslamp block party no longer exists. Yeah, bummer, but there are other things to keep the spirits rocking. PubClub.com is focusing on the two main nightlife areas of the city, the Gaslamp Quarter and Pacific Beach for this overview.
Haloween Events In The Gaslamp Quarter
Ready, set and go for there’s a lot of bar activations as well as a pub crawl in the Gaslamp Quarter for Halloween.
Lost Temple Tavern at LandShark Bar & Grill
Dates – October 10–31, 2026 (Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays)

Details – PubClub.com attended an advance preview for the Lost Temple Tavern theme at Margaritaville’s LandShark Bar & Grill. There’s decor, an eerie video playing ont the TV screens and themed cocktails and food. There’s a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. On Halloween night, encounter the mysterious Witch Doctor from 7:30pm–9:30pm. Costumes encouraged. The best thing about it might be that it’s free.
Hard Rock Halloween: Haunted Manor

Halloween Movie Nights at the Gaslamp Museum
Dates – Every Thursday in October 2026 (October 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29)

Details – Experience spooky season with classic horror films in the historic courtyard of the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House. Ghosts of the Gaslamp Guided Walking Tour
Dates – Fridays in October 2026
Hours – Check-in at 5pm; tour begins at 5:15pm (approximately 2 hours)

Details – Discover the haunted history of the Gaslamp Quarter on a guided walking tour led by historian Sandee Wilhoit. Begin inside the historic Davis-Horton House before exploring the neighborhood’s ghostly past, including stories of haunted hotels, old saloons, former brothels, and a historic funeral parlor. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, active military and members, and $15 for students and children ages 7–13. Children under 7 are free. Advance reservations strongly recommended.

Boos and Brews at Nason’s Haunted Witches Tavern

Halloween Events In Pacific Beach
Naturally, the big event is a pub crawl. The Mad City Bar Fest takes place on Oct, 31 from Noon-4 p.m. Ticketws ($15; buy here) are required to get a wristand for drink specials. For those still standing, there’s themed parties at a lof the bars, with Hideway being one of the most popular.
