Attractions, Transportation And Indoor Pools Make This A No-Brainer

Plus the pass has a whole lot of other benefits that make getting it a no-brainer decision.
The SKI plus CITY Pass provides access to all 13 ski areas, 22 city attractions, the Innsbruck Sightseer bus, three indoor pools and – just as important as anything – all the ski buses.
The SKI plus CITY Pass cost 191 Euros for no fewer than 13 ski areas including the Stubai glacier; 22 lifestyle, cultural and sightseeing attractions; admission to three indoor swimming pools as well as the hop-on, hop-off Sightseer Innsbruck bus and all ski bus routes.
If you are into night skiing, the SKI plus CITY Pass offers a 25% discount on the lift ticket.
By comparison, a 4-day ski pass, exclusively for the Stubai Glacier, cost 181 Euros.
The Stubai Glacier & Skiing Variety
More than 100 kilometres of slopes draw visitors to the largest glacier ski area in Austria, the Stubai Glacier. The peak is at 3,210 meters and there are 26 ultra-modern lifts to get you there in style and comfort.
Additionally, the variety of terrain allows you to take runs on a piste marathon with a glacier panorama as the backdrop leisurely carving down a trail while overlooking the city.
In the Stubai valley, besides the Stubai glacier, there are other ski areas on the SKI plus CITY Pass. Among them are the all-rounder the Schlick 2000; the challenging Elferbahnen ski and toboggan area; the panoramic Bergeralm in Steinach and Brenner and the easily manageable Bergbahnen Oberperfuss on the Rangger Köpfl, which has already received an award for its friendly staff.
Ski bunnies and squids may prefer the slopes of the Muttereralm, which goes through a forest.
And, if you want do do something a little different, there is freeriding – snowboarding or skiing performed on natural, un-groomed terrain – in the Axamer Lizum.
Public Transportation And Ski Buses Go Straight To The Lift
If it’s important for you to be close to the city, you really can’t go wrong in the Innsbruck region, but the following two mountain zones are definitely worth a special mention: the Innsbruck Nordkette and the Patscherkofel are easily accessible from the city centre and can offer skiing and snowboarding fun all along the way – not just for families with children but for genuine freeriders. The cable car ride to the Nordkette starts very close to the city centre.
Resort Atmosphere in Kühtai
Ski areas with a genuine resort atmosphere are also included in the SKI plus CITY Pass: Kühtai is such a special place, not only because it can boast no fewer than 46 kilometres of pistes, but also because all the valley stations are situated at more than 2,000 metres above sea level, so snow is assured. Just a few kilometres away lies the Hochötz ski area, a very popular spot with families.
