Idyllwild Strong Free Weekend Concert Benefits Cranston Fire Victims

More Than 70 Bands & Artists To Perform At Riverside County Venues

The Southern California town of Idyllwild in Riverside County was hit hard by a massive fire at the end of July, and to rebuild, it’s singing its praises for a strong community effort to rebuild.

And you can sing along, too. The weekend of Aug. 17-19 it is hosting Idyllwild Strong, a free concert to help fire victims. It features some 70 bands and local artists (including poets) at a dozen venues. The times are Friday from 3-10 p.m., Saturday from Noon-10 p.m., and Sunday from Noon-8 p.m.

And it’s all free. Donation boxes will be set up at the venues and in addition, there will be raffles and silent auctions.

The Cranston Fire was set by an arsonist and the community is determined to recover from this devastation.
