Southern California Breweries, Bands & Unique Games In A Field Of Dreams Setting
The title of this post is “all you need to know,” but there’s only one thing you really need to know: this is one great craft beer festival.
It is unique, in a creative location and has things that other craft beer festival should have in the form of entertainment.
Plus, there’s 40-something breweries at it, many from the area where the event takes place, which is Lancaster, CA. That’s about an hour and a half north of Los Angeles. No, you don’t want to drink and drive and there are several hotels right across the street.
With those basics out of the way, here’s the full details on the event.
WHAT: Field Of Dreams, a craft beer festival in the Southern California high desert, off Hwy. 14 in Lancaster, CA.
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 3
WHERE: The Hanger, the baseball stadium for the Class A Jethawks, the minor league baseball affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
TIME: 1-5 p.m. VIP Noon-5 p.m.
BANDS: Almost Classy, Noon-2 p.m. DJ: 2-3 p.m. Grooveline 3-5 p.m.
GAMES: Beyond the venue – which has corn stalks and hay bails and looks like the Field of Dreams movie, the unique aspect of this beer festival are the games. There’s Twister with the dots actually pained onto the field, football field goal attempts, a putt-putt golf course and PubClub.com’s favorite activity, human foosball. You have to see this to believe it!
TICKETS: $45, $10 for designated drivers

PUBCLUB.COM RECOMMENDATION: Go for the VIP. It includes special brews – and no lines getting beers – and food. It’s $100. However, you must jump on this early; it’s sold out for 2018.
Another unique aspect is the location – it’s on the baseball field of the Jethawks, the Class A minor league baseball affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The stadium is called The Hanger (not as in hanging curve ball but it’s a nod to the area’s military aviation history).
Thus the name of the event, the Field of Drafts festival. Added to this are sports-type games taking place on the field.
The event goes from 1-5 p.m.
Tickets are $45, $10 for designated drivers.
