‘Fly, Eagles Fly,’ For South Bay Eagles Alliance For Transplanted Philly Fans

They yell, cheer and hold up beers to “Fly, Eagles Fly.”
They are the South Bay Eagles Alliance and they do this – and much more – each Sunday during the NFL season at Chelsea Pub in Hermosa Beach, the top sports bar for transplanted Philadelphia Eagles fans on the West Coast.
Some 50+ strong, these loud and loyal fans are there on a weekly basis – except when the Eagles play the local Chargers and Rams, in which case they take a party bus to the games – and have even been featured on NBC’s Sunday Night Football broadcast.
If you’re looking to go for the playoffs you had better get there early.
If you mess up and can’t get into this bar, there’s an adjacent bar to it, Underground Pub, that will be accommodating the spillover crowd.
The South Bay Eagles Alliance is comprised of people from Philly or the Philadelphia area and they very vocal about their team. They cheer for things as seemingly little as first downs (tho with Nick Foles now at quarterback leading a first down-challenged team, it’s hard to blame them) and big defensive plays.
There are tables in the middle and booths along the walls at Chelsea Pub, tho be smart and save these spots for the regulars. If you’re there early enough you can maybe get one of the dozen bar stools. Otherwise, find a spot to stand and get ready to say and even sing “Fly, Eagles Fly” on several occasions.
If you’re new, let the group know you’re coming in advance on the South Bay Eagles Alliance Facebook page.
