Pier Ave. Restaurant And Bar Features Wine, Beer & The Drink Of The Week Cocktail
The Mermaid, one of the few bars on the Hermosa Beach Strand, has extended it’s daily Happy Hour hours and added a late-night Happy Hour.
The daily Happy Hour – and by daily, we mean it’s seven days a week – now goes from 3-7 p.m. Previously, it ended at 6:30.
The late-night Happy Hour starts at 10 p.m., and goes until midnight.
If you don’t know, the Happy Hours at Mermaid are great. You can get a glass of house wine for $4.50, select beers (the selections rotate) for $5 and a “Drink of the Week” for 5 bucks.
The latter is the real bargain because the beautiful, sexy and smiling bartenders of The Mermaid make the best cocktails in town. No matter if it’s a margarita, a whiskey drink, something with rum (mmmm!), vodka or gin, these girls really know what they are doing with bottles and a shaker in their hands.
Like the beer special, the Drink of the Week changes weekly. Frankly, it doesn’t matter what it is; just get it because it’s delicious and contains enough alcohol to get your motor rolling.
There are also food specials, the most popular items being the fish tacos (two, a full meal) for 10 bucks and steamed clams in the spicy and delicious Killer Shrimp sauce.
The Mermaid is located at the corner of The Strand and Pier Ave. There’s a few bar stools that look out over the beach life that is The Strand and what’s happening on the sand.
But sometimes, the view while seated at the bar is just as good.
