Welcome to Splash Night Fridays at the W Hotel in Hollywood, CA. It’s a Friday night summertime scene unlike any other in L.A., a lively mix of a cool scene, cool characters and cocktails. And yes, people in the pool.
Hey, it’s called Splash for a reason, right?
What is Splash Night Fridays?
It’s a mix of a club scene with a Vegas dayclub pool party. It’s on the rooftop of the W Hotel in Hollywood, with fantastic nighttime views of Los Angeles. There’s a pair of DJs playing hip but not overly club music, fire pits in the VIP areas, a very fun (and free) photo booth, an Asian food station and, well, not everybody is there to get into the pool.
That’s why it’s a blend of trends. If you’re not splashing around, come dressed “club casual,” grab some drinks at the bar and soak up the scene. There are VIP areas surrounding the pool and at the back but there’s also plenty of room – and mingling opportunities – in other areas around the pool and at the spacious back area.
And be sure and get your fun, goofy pics at the photo booth.
And yes, you can jump in and play in the pool if you like.
There are few pool parties in Los Angeles and this is one of them, and it’s on a Friday night in the summertime. So get wet or just make your splash by the pool instead of in it.
Cocktails include Bulldog Gin and Canard Duchene, a satellite bar dedicated to both Bulldog Gin Cocktails, VieVite Rosé (an excellent Rose, perfect for the mild Hollywood nights on the rooftop), low calorie cocktails by SlimChic and alcoholic and nonalcoholic cocktails from Perrier.

• Dress Code: Mild clubby but you can indeed wear your bathing suit and get in the pool
• The pool has inflatable pool toys
• Full bars offer beers and cocktails
• Dates: Every Friday thru Labor Day Weekend
