Los Angeles St. Patrick’s Day Bars: Tiki No To Serve Guinness & Jameson

Combining Irish & The Islands At This LA Tiki Bar

While it’s not common to mix Polynesian with St. Paddy, the Tiki No bar in Los Angeles is turning at least a wee bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.

It is serving Guinness beer and $5 shots of Jameson. It opens at 5 p.m., and is open until the wee morning hours (for L.A. anyway) of 2 a.m.

So if you like your tiki scene but don’t want to be feeling green over missing St. Patrick’s Day bashes at LA Irish bars, you’ll be able to enjoy a wee bit of the Irish spirit while still sticking to your tiki bar roots.

Then again, if you’re in a tiki bar on St. Patrick’s Day you may prefer the Pacific island lifestyle to that of Ireland. Perhaps you prefer island drinks to beer. If that’s your cocktail taste, then you can get just as drunk as an Irishmen on cocktails like the Happy Buddha (two rums, guava puree & lime juice), the Zombie (three rums and with that who cares about the other ingredients; a couple of these and you’ll become a zombie), Mai Tai and the Chief Lapu Lapu, which will leave you feeling like the king of an island.

Groups can order the Scorpion Bowl, a traditional shared drink in all good tiki bars.
