Costa Mesa & Irvine Locations Have 1995 Pricing On Food & Drinks Sept. 15-20

Published on Sept. 3
If you’re in the mood for a little Havana Daydreamin’ in “the OC” part of Southern California, then head to Habana, a Cuban restaurant. For one week in September, 15-20, is has menu pricing that dates back to 1995. And that includes $5 Mojitos and Sangria.
With locations in Costa Mesa and Irvine, Habana is s celebrating its 25th anniversary with specials on food & drinks.
Here’s an example of some of the food prices: Vegetable and Chicken Empanadas (both at $4.95); the Cuban flagship shredded beef dish Ropa Vieja($7.95):Medianoche, the legendary pressed and jamón “Cuban Sandwich” ($7.95); Lechon Asado: slow roasted pork, garlic mojo, pickled white onions, sofrito black beans, buttered white rice, and maduros ($8.95).

Most importantly, from a PubClub.com perspective anyway, are the featured cocktails: red and white Sangria, made with red (and white) wine, rum, dark spirits, and marinated fruit and the Mojito a La Habana Mojito with Bacardí Superior rum, lime, mint, cane sugar, soda.
Both are just $5 each all day.
For nearly 25 years, Habana has been the ultimate destination for contemporary Cuban cuisine in Costa Mesa, located in The Lab, a former night vision goggle factory that remains one of the coolest shopping and dining enclaves in the OC. The restaurant is reminiscent of pre-Castro (and post-Castro) Cuba, offering award-winning dining on a heated outdoor patio.
A few miles further down the road, Habana Irvine opened in the Irvine Spectrum Center in 2017. Suited to its expansive location, Habana Irvine sprawls from a big central plaza and has massive chandelier and bar where Hemingway would have felt at home, serving its sister restaurant’s selection of Cuban dishes.
Ceilin’ fan it stirs the air
Cigar smoke does swirl
The fragrance on the pillowcase
And he thinks about the girl
Spillin’ wine and sharin’ good times
She sure could make him smile
He pays her well but what the hell
He’ll be movin’ in a little while
Havana daydreamin’
Boy he’s just dreamin’
His life away
