Speakeasy Bar Features Classic Drinks In A Classic Setting In L.A.’s Orange County
Opened in the fall of 2016, it has added a unique touch to this area of Orange County’s nightlife.
The Holiday Cocktail Lounge is a place that offers 1920s and 30s craft cocktails blended with today’s edge, meaning it’s kind of a modern speakeasy setting.
“It’s an intimate and social cocktail lounge unlike anything else in the area and the perfect addition to the Costa Mesa nightlife scene,” said Mike Kinsella, Operating Partner at owner Social Management Group (SMG).
For instance, its ‘Gatsby’ cocktail was inspired by the Fitzgerald character, best known for his social gatherings and parties. “It’s a classic cocktail with a refreshing twist from naturally sweet coconut water and our house made cinnamon syrup,” said Aaron Reid, Holiday’s Cocktail Curator.
Other drinks include “On Holiday” with rye, ginger, orange juice, Angostura bitters and soda and “Lemon & Lavender” with vodka, muddled lemon, lavender syrup and a twist served up. Complimentary munchies come with the drinks in the form of seasoned popcorn that ranges in flavors from white cheddar cheese to southwest jalapeño or cinnamon roll.
Formerly Lion’s Den Nightclub, Holiday features lounge seating, a custom crafted wood bar, dance floor and small stage for nightly entertainment. The bar itself itself is called the Red Room.
Holiday features a weekly Thursday night soiree hosted by MDA Events featuring Torosbros & Wet Hand Dan.
