OC Fair Hosting Craft Beer Festival The Brew Hee Haw

Beers, Plus Wines, Bands & Tribute Bands Mid-July To Mid-August

The Orange County Fair, taking place from mid-July thru mid-August, is opening with something worthy of a toast – a craft beer festival.

The Brew Hee Haw Craft Beer Roundup is taking place the weekend of July 15-17 in Costa Mesa, CA.

It features 80 beers from primarily California breweries in a wide selection of styles ranging from Pale Ales, IPA’s, Stouts, Saisons, Hefeweizens. The breweries include Pizza Port, The Good Beer Company, Bottle Logic Brewing, Tap It Brewing Co., Valiant Brewing Company.

The beers are 2-ounce tastes and there’s also music and games.

Tickets are $50 and $60 for VIP if purchased in advance and includes entrance to the fair, (the fair tickets are $12). The day-of prices rise to $60 and $75, respectively.

This is the third annual Brew Hee Haw, and this year’s location at the fair is bigger than in past years.

The fair also has wine tasting and bands at the Pacific Amphitheatre which include Three Dog Night (July 14), Styx (July 15), Boston (July 16), the Psychedelic Furs (July 17), The Offspring (July 20) Chris Isaak (July 29), UB/40 and English Beat (July 31),  the B52s (Aug. 12) and a double performance by Ziggy Marley and Steel Pulse (Aug. 13 & 14).

There’s more music at The Hanger, primary tribute bands. These include Queen Nation (July 15), Dead Man’s Party (Oingo Boingo, July 16), Hotel California (Eagles, July 21), Journey Unauthorized (July 22), Zeppelin Live (July 23) Billy to Elton (Billy Joel & Elton John, July 27), Which One’s Pink (Pink Floyd, July 30), Hot August Night (Neil Diamond, Aug. 4) and Jumping Jack Flash (Rolling Stones, Aug. 11).

Don’t drink and drive – a shuttle bus picks up at various OC locations for $2 each way.
