KTLA’s Vera Jiminez Helps Organize Event For Cori Davis Of Paddy O’Brien’s

Our bartenders in the South Bay just don’t serve us cocktails, they become confidants and even friends.
And when one became a friend in need, several people in the South Bay stepped up in his time of need.
Cori Davis, who bartends at Paddy O’Brien’s in Redondo Beach, has the disease lupus. This is a crippling illness. Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs.
So on a January weekend, KTLA meteorologist and South Bay resident Vera Jiminez organized a fundraiser to benefit Lupus LA, and bartended alongside her friend Davis, ultimately raising $1,500. Sponsor Tito’s Vodka matched donations, bringing the total to $3,000.
The money will help Lupus LA provide hope and support to people with lupus and their families, while funding medical research, providing services and programs for patients, and promoting advocacy and awareness.
And while the fundraiser is over, you can go into Paddy O’Brien’s at give a big cheers (and a tip) to Davis. Paddy O’Brien’s is located at 1517 Aviation Blvd in Redondo Beach.
Cheers!
