‘A Room Full Of Cupids’ Event Seeks To Match Up South Bay Single People

Put on by Sunscreen Film Festival, it’s kind of a fun game and speed dating combination in which a guy or girl is introduced, blindfolded for others and potential suitors ask questions, to which the latter holds up signs of “red or green” to stop the player or to playing, then finally a “date or dump” sign.
Registration is in advance and the cost is $20, which includes – get this – an open bar.
“It’s Tinder meets Dating Game meets Love Connection,” said Robert Enriquez of The Sunscreen Film Festival. “This is a ‘live’ game show that lets real singles interact, whether on stage or in the audience. You can be as low-key or as vocal as you choose.
“At the end of each round the ‘main dater’ can choose to take the date or pass on whom the Cupids have selected.
“It’s a fun time for all. There is a little bit of Cupid in all of us so we encourage the fun singes of the South Bay to come out and enjoy this night and quite possibly get struck with a little pre-Valentine’s Day love.
“This is a fund raiser for The Sunscreen Film Festival West. We started in Florida 12 years ago and tis Oct will be our fifth year in the South Bay.”
The location is a theater space in North Redondo, Comedy Garage, at 535 Mary Anne Drive.
