Inaugural Event Is May 14 At Bay Club Redondo Beach
Put on by Smackfest Events, it is the only such event in the Los Angeles Beach Cities and is a compliment to the wildly popular wine and beer festival in Palso Verdes, which is in August (and annually sells out within half a day).
Tickets are $40 and go on sale Friday, April 15. That price holds through the month and rises to $45 on May 1. Considering the first two festivals sold out well in advance, it’s unlikely that any tickets will be available at the door.
Last year, 600 people attended the event and all tickets were purchased in advance.
Among the wineries are Malibu Rocky Oaks Winery and Barefoot, which will be sampling sangria. Expect more California wineries and several South Bay craft breweries, as well. Beers include selections from King Harbor Brewing Company, 10 Barrel Brewing, Blue Point, Strand Brewing Elysian Brewing.
There will be food from The Slip Bar & Eatery, DJ music and other as-yet-to-be-announced entertainment. But heck, how much more entertainment does one need besides the fun and energetic crowd at an event put on by Smackfest Events!?
The venue is also tough to beat – Bay Club at King Harbor Marina. The event will be mostly outdoor, including on the club’s pool deck, taking full advantage of the waterfront location.
