THURSDAY PATRICK MOLLOY’S 20TH ANNIVESARY PARTY
Patrick Molloy’s is having its 20th anniversary party this Thursday. It’s 9-close and includes all-night Happy Hour.
The VIP party is invitation only from 6-9 and PubClub.com has a VIP ticket for two – and you can win it! Simply go on social media and do a post – text or photo – about Molloy’s using the hashtags #patrickmolloys and #pubclub. The best (most?) posts gets it!
WEEKEND: WORLD SERIES OF BEACH VOLLEYBALL; 6-MAN ON SATURDAY
Those players you saw during the Olympics will be playing this weekend at the World Series of Beach Volleyball in Long Beach, including Kerri Walsh-Jennings/April Ross and Phil Daulhausser/Nick Lucena.
The event is free (unless you want to buy a seat low in the grandstands). Friday is quarterfinals, Saturday is semis and Sunday is the finals. Saturday, there’s also the Smackfest Events 4s and 6’s tournament on the outer “party courts.”
Here, they serve beer and cocktails and you can walk around and drink on the beach (about $7 a pop).
SUNDAY: THE FINAL BEACH CONCERT
I don’t know this band but their promo picture looks like they are fun! Doesn’t really matter tho, does it because these concerts are always fun!

TRUMP WINE & BEER FESTIVAL REVIEW
Whew! Was that GREAT or what!? The 8th annual event was one of the best. Or wait, they are ALL one of the best! From the outset, this event reached the top of the mountain for singles and socializing events in the South Bay and it’s stayed at that peak each and every year.
It’s kind of like Alabama’s football team – each year you kind of expect it to have a down year, to say “well that year was better than so-and-so year,” but it consistently plays at the highest level. Below is the PubClub.com review with photos and a video that tells the story. I actually used USC and UCLA team references in the article, not Bama.

SHADE REDONDO BEACH UPDATE
Here’s some good news. One of the “twins” from Phily who runs Chelsea Pub in Hermosa is the new food & beverage manager of Shade Hotel in Redondo. Yes, one of us! That’s great; we’ve got a friend running things from behind the bar so you know it’s going to be done the right South Bay way. The hotel & bars should open the first weekend of October. Oh my, that’s Hometown Fair weekend!
LA RAMS TAILGATING PARTY SCENE
Well, why not – last Saturday PubClub went to check out the tailgate party scene for the LA Rams. It’s different than for USC games and at first we could have punted a dozen footballs in the middle of the area and not hit anybody. But then we walked around and found some fun.
So if you’re sitting around on a Sunday morning in the fall and want to go be part of the pre-game scene – and be back at the beach or the bars for the game – here’s where and how to do it.
