Costumed Coed Teams Plus A Pool Party With Beer & DJ

The first Smackfest event of the year is not, well, Smackfest.
The big beach coed costume volleyball tournament is not until July, but Smackfest Events is hosting the inaugural Bay Club Olympics, a part exercise, a lot of socialize event in conjunction with Bay Club in Redondo Beach, CA.
Taking place Saturday, January 23, it involves teams of people competing in a 1,600-meter row, a max bar hang, a tire flip race, a sled relay race, a bike-a-thon and a team plank walk.
A team plank walk? Well hey, it’s a Smackfest event!
Teams are encouraged to show up with theme names and costumes, just like the volleyball tournament.
These are four-person coed teams. The price is $80 for teams, $60 for members of Bay Club. If you can’t rally a team, you can show up as an individual for $20.
During the day there’s a party with Michelob Ultra and a DJ on the pool deck. Afterward, there’s a party at Sharkeez Hermosa Beach (open to anyone) starting at 5 p.m.
Participants get gifts from Smack, Prank Monkey, Bay Club, Sharkeez and Mich Ultra, plus a one-week pass to Bay Club.
Bay Club is located just south of the Hermosa/Redondo Beach border on Harbor Drive.
