Cheers!
Best Hermosa Beach Sunset Happy Hours
Mermaid
Description & Crowd: The best – and among the best looking! – bartenders in the South Bay bring in the locals for great cocktails and a great deal. Sometimes it’s quiet and other times its jam packed with people. The Drink of the Week is the drink to get here and the bar is right on The Strand, which is great for seeing the sunset at the pier and for watching people on The Straand. There’s also a patio on the side.
Happy Hour Times: 3-7 p.m., & 10-close. Monday thru Sunday
The Deals: $5 “Drink Of The Week” from the South Bay’s best bartenders, $4 select beer & house wine, plus food specials (the $5 bowl of clam chowder and $7 tacos are your best bets)
Location: Hermosa Beach Pier
Top Deck Of Hennessy’s
Description & Crowd: Right on The Strand, the upstairs bar provides a commanding – and the best – view of the beach and The Strand in the South Bay. There’s not many tables and you have to be seated to be served, so it’s not often a great singles mingling spot. There’s a patio and bar downstairs, so see which has the most people if that’s your priority, tho keep in mind this place is rarely buzzing busy.
Happy Hour Times: 4-7 p.m, Monday thru Friday
The Deals: $5 select drinks (Moscow Mule, Irish Coffee, margarita, house wells & 32-ounce beers) plus $5 food items (includes ahi street tacos & pulled pork sliders).
Location: Hermosa Beach Pier
Best Manhattan Beach Sunset Happy Hours
Mangiamo
Description & Crowd: Classy but also casual. This is a PubClub fav spot because we love to grab a stool at the “fishbowl” window to watch the people walking by on the sidewalk and of course, see the sunset. This is a very small area, holding maybe a dozen people, yet it often provides the best Happy Hour spot for singles.
Happy Hour Times: 5-7 p.m., M-F
The Deals: $5 house wines & $5-8 appetizers
Location: Manhattan Beach Pier
Shellback Tavern
Description & Crowd: A very casual beach bar in which flip flops and tank tops are the primary attire. It has people right off the beach, including recreational beach volleyball players and the occasional pro player. No need to knock the sand off your sandals in this place.
Happy Hour Times: 3-7 M-F
The Deals :Supersize domestic select beer & house cocktails
Location: Manhattan Beach Pier
Note: The Strand House has great views and sometimes a lively scene but does not have Happy Hour.
Best Redondo Beach Sunset Happy Hours
Chart House

Kincaid’s
Description & Crowd: Great location; if it’s not too chilly and are with friends, get an outside table which is right over the crashing waves. Otherwise, inside is the place; you still get the view and might find some mingling opportunities. Crowd is couples with a few singles that go as friends to have a few drinks and maybe some eats.
Happy Hour Times: 3-6 p.m., & 9 p.m.-close Monday thru Sunday
The Deals: $5 hose cab and chardonnay, $6 select cocktails (including margaritas) and well drins, $1 off draft beers.
