THE COSTUMES: PubClub.com has seen nearly everything here, from gay people dressed up like a 1700s French ballroom costume party, to zombies to “scary” Halloween creatures to a girl with a horse-style mouthpiece pulling her boyfriend in a chariot. Will Tiffany, the heartbreaking blonde cute in the Cat In The Hat outfit be there this year???
ALCOHOL: There are bars along the way and designated beer gardens with entertainment and DJs.
COOL THINGS TO KNOW: The best way to experience this event is to dress up and walk up and down both sides of the street…If you’re with friends (or a date!), stick close to them; there are so many people they could be next to you one moment and then lost in the crowd the next. Be sure your cellphone ic charged…There is a huge police presence, primarily from the L.A. County Sheriffs Dept. Not to worry, tho; they are enjoying the scene as much as anyone and are very friendly and helpful if you need them…No backpacks, camera bags or totes are allowed at Carnaval.
