Second Annual Pigskin Palooza Includes Craft Beers & An All-You-Can-Eat Buffett
Here’s something to cheer about on Super Bowl Sunday if you are in the Monterey/Carmel area of California.
Peter B’s Brewpub, the excellent yet casual food-and-drink bar & restaurant by Monterey Bay, is hosting a Super Bowl party. It’s the second annual Pigskin Palooza and the date is Sunday Feb. 5.
The party includes craft beer and drink specials, an all-you-can-eat buffet, raffle prizes which includes a stay at the adjoining Portola Hotel & Spa, giveaways & more. The cost is $45 for Peter B’s Mug Club members, $60 for others. This includes all the food, tax and even the gratuity.
The party starts at 2 p.m., and goes until closing time, which is at 11 p.m. Kickoff for Super Bowl LI is at 3:30 p.m. Peter B’s has 18 TVs, a fireplace inside and a fire pit on a patio, making for a lively but also cozy football game-watching environment.
To add to the spirit of the game, Peter B’s is releasing a new beer that day.
Among the regular beers – many of which have won craft beer awards – on tap is the Belly Up Blonde (a PubClub.com favorite, by the way), Inclusion Amber Ale, 40 Acre Pale Ale, the Legend of Laguna IPA (a nod to the famous Laguna Seca Racetrack outside of Monterey) and the Stout Resistance.
Peter B’s is also a full bar with cocktails and pours very good Monterey Bay wines from special wine taps.
