Le Petit Chef, a unique dinner experience in which animated characters “dance” along the plate, has arrived in San Diego.
It is at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter and involves projecting 3D images onto the dinner plate and telling a story, making the experience kind of a dinner show at your seat. During the four-course dinner, tiny chefs battle each other in a cooking competion. Designed as a “3D cinema on your plate,” animated storytelling unfolds before each course is served. French Le Petit Chef from France competes with “chefs” from Spain, Italy and Japan.
The dinner involves a globally inspired four-course menu that highlights flavors from across the world paired with an animated journey taking place on the table.

There are three menus: Classic, Vegetarian, and Junior, each inspired by the same signature Le Petit Chef & Friends storyline. The Classic menu, priced at $169 per person, showcases truffle ravioli with freshly shaved truffle, grilled beef fillet with béarnaise sauce and a Japanese Mont Blanc dessert featuring white chocolate cake and matcha cream. The Vegetarian menu, at $139, offers plant-forward interpretations such as cauliflower steak with béarnaise sauce and truffle ravioli with mushrooms, while the Junior menu for ages 6–12, priced at $89, features chicken and fries alongside versions of the bigger courses.
Shows run Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 6:30 pm, with additional seatings on Fridaysand Saturdays at 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm.
