Having a wine tasing with food is common, but the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is pairing is not just food with wine but also a local bonus: flowers.
Starting on Friday March 29 and running every Friday thru mid-May, the Flower Fields will be hosting wine tastings with Advanced Sommelier Lamar Engel of The Wine Milit. The events feature premium wines and food bites, live music and – if all goes according to plan – a sunset over 50 acres of ranunculus flowers in a myriad of colors.
They will take place from 6-8 p.m.
All of the wines are hand selected by a team of sommeliers and highlight celebrated California wine growing regions. Food is from local chefs and will spotlight the nuances of each wine. Select nights will also feature winemakers and winery professionals pouring alongside the Wine Militia team.

As a bonus, the tickets include access to the flower fields one hour before the start of the event.
Seats will be assigned for each guest/ticket and a seating chart will be e-mailed to the ticket holder. Tables are ‘family style’ with a view of the stage. Assigned seating charts will be e-mailed 10 days prior to the event. All ticket sales are final and tickets are not tranferrable. The events go on rain or shine.
Be sure and wear comfortable clothing and keep in mind it can be cool and foggy so layering clothing, sweaters, light jackets and shawls are encouraged.
